Boston-based snowboard mountaineer and mountain biker, Ethan’s pursuits have taken him to the top of two of the Seven Summits so far, Aconcagua and Mount Kilimanjaro, to the glaciated summit cone of Washington’s Mount Rainier, up icy waterfall climbs in New Hampshire and Maine, and 14,000-foot scrambles throughout the Rockies.
Friends and adventure companions for over a decade, when Lee received a call from Ronzio in the Spring of 2011 that laid out the rough beginnings of Between The Peaks idea, Ethan was all in without hesitation. The two bought one-way tickets West the next week and after spending a summer in California working through the details and defining the next steps, the guys packed up their lives and headed to the mountains.
They would spend the next year living in Aspen, Colorado, pushing their mountaineering limits and continuing to hone the skills they would need to ascend a couple of the world’s highest mountains. The original Between The Peaks expedition was the culmination of two years of vigorous training, dedication, and persistence in the face of doubt and countless obstacles, and the results speak for themselves.
Ethan, a gifted writer with a poetic and observant soul, possesses an innate drive for experiencing the world around him and positively impacting the lives of others. One of those personalities that simply booms and brings any room to life, he approaches the world like a puppy. Everything is the best thing ever, all the time.
Ethan is also a sales manager at a top global IT consulting firm. While still undeniably handsome sporting a well-tailored suit and a clean shaven face, Lee is at his most powerful when the beard is awoken and the musk of the mountains emanates from his every grizzly pore.
